Notes

'Aurea' woolly yarrow (Achillea tomentosa 'Aurea') is a perennial for rock gardens, borders, containers, and ground cover. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to average, sandy or loamy soil. It grows slowly into a low, spreading mat that stays about 12 inches tall. Yellow flowers appear in spring and again in summer, and bees and butterflies visit them. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal.

Pairs well with Blonde Ambition blue grama, Blanket flower, and Silver Parrot tulip.
