Notes

'Aussie Peach' peony (Paeonia 'Aussie Peach') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. The fragrant flowers are light amber yellow with soft rose edging, and they open in early to late spring. Side buds open after the main bud fades, so the bloom period lasts longer.

Pairs well with Blue star, Blue Angel hosta, Jackmanii clematis, and Greig's tulip.
