Notes
Autumn goldenrod (Solidago sphacelata) is a perennial for borders, pollinator gardens, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy or loamy soil. Deer rarely make it their first choice. It bears yellow blooms in early to late summer and again in early to late autumn. Butterflies, bees, and birds visit the flowers.
Pairs well with Munstead lavender, Aster, and Ornamental onion.
