Notes

'Golden Fleece' autumn goldenrod (Solidago sphacelata 'Golden Fleece') is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, rock gardens, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy or loamy soil. It forms an arching mound about 18 inches tall, and butterflies, bees, and birds visit it. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal. It blooms in early to late summer and again in early to late autumn.

Pairs well with Standing Ovation little bluestem, Cheyenne Spirit echinacea, and Earth Angel hosta.
