Notes
'Autumn Sneezeweed' common sneezeweed (Helenium autumnale 'Autumn Sneezeweed') is a perennial for borders, pollinator gardens, meadows, and rain gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet soil of most types. Its flowers attract butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. It grows in a clump, so you can leave space around it as it fills out.
Pairs well with Spotted joe-pye weed, Goldsturm black-eyed Susan, Royal fern, and Hummingbird sweet pepperbush.
