Notes

'Avalanche' peony (Paeonia 'Avalanche') is a perennial for borders, cut flower gardens, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average moisture. The double white blooms have a faint pink center and narrow crimson edges on a few petals. They have a strong fragrance that is not sweet, and they make good cut flowers. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. Crousse bred it.

Pairs well with Royal Standard hosta, Pale purple coneflower, and Blonde Ambition blue grama.
