Notes
'Avocat Guillon' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Avocat Guillon') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Plant it where it has room to grow into a woody, long-lived clump. Its blooms also last well in a vase.
Pairs well with Stella de Oro daylily, Rainforest Sunrise hosta, Blue fescue, and Carnaval De Nice tulip.
