Notes

'Bangle' broom (Genista lydia 'Bangle') is a shrub for borders, containers, ground cover, and foundation plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average soil of most types. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. Its arching stems grow slowly to about 24 inches tall. It blooms in spring and again in summer, and it tolerates drought and salt.

Pairs well with Lavender cotton, Lamb’s ear, and Purple Sensation ornamental onion.
