Notes

'Gold Flash' broom (Genista pilosa 'Gold Flash') is a shrub for borders, rock gardens, cottage gardens, and ground cover. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to average, sandy soil. It grows slowly and has a cascading habit, so it spills nicely over walls and slopes. Yellow flowers appear in early to late spring and again in early to late summer. It is drought tolerant and needs little care.

Pairs well with Creeping thyme, Silver sage, and Feather reed grass.
