Notes

'Procumbens' broom (Genista pilosa 'Procumbens') is a shrub for rock gardens, borders, and ground cover. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to average, sandy soil. It grows slowly and has a cascading habit, so it spills over walls and slopes. It blooms in early to late spring and again in early to late summer. It tolerates drought once settled in.

Pairs well with Silver sage, Feather reed grass, and Briar rose.
