Notes

'Barbarathermen' peony (Paeonia 'Barbarathermen') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Early yellow flowers are semi-double to double and smell of citrus, and the upright plants need no support. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. Joshua Scholten bred it.

Pairs well with Blanket flower, Empress Wu hosta, and Blonde Ambition blue grama.
