Notes

'Bardsey' apple (Malus domestica 'Bardsey') is a tree for the food garden, grown for fresh eating, cooking, and juice. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It has light pink blooms in early to late spring that attract bees. Plant a second apple nearby, since it is not self-fertile. Ian Sturrock bred it in 1998.

Pairs well with Persimmon, Texas mountain laurel, Purple sage, and Mondo grass.
