Notes

'Barfourteen' garden phlox (Phlox paniculata 'Barfourteen') is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy or clay soil. It forms a clump 12 to 18 inches tall and 9 to 12 inches wide. Fragrant purple flowers with a small darker purple eye open from early to late summer and again in early autumn. Butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds visit the blooms.

Pairs well with Annabelle hydrangea, Standing Ovation little bluestem, Black Parrot tulip, and Lily.
