Notes

'Beacon Light' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Beacon Light') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The Japanese type flowers are medium size and Tyrian pink, and they open in early summer. The plant stays small and compact, so it fits neatly at the front of a border. Wettengel bred it.

Pairs well with Incrediball hydrangea, Prairie dropseed, Black Hero tulip, and Ostrich fern.
