Notes
'Beck' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Beck') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Paillet introduced it in 1889. You can plant it in a border or a perennial bed as a woody anchor. You can also cut the blooms for vases indoors.
Pairs well with Greig's tulip, Prairie dropseed, and Hinoki cypress.
