Notes

'Bellbird' peony (Paeonia 'Bellbird') is a shrub for borders, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. The lemon-yellow blooms have deep pink edges and open from early to late spring. Derek Irvine introduced it in 2001. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by.

Pairs well with Maltese cross, Korean spice viburnum, Pink Impression tulip, and Niobe clematis.
