Notes

'Belle de Boskoop' apple (Malus domestica 'Belle de Boskoop') is a tree for the food garden. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It is grown for fresh eating and cooking, and the late-season fruit keeps for 3 months or more. Pink flowers attract bees in spring, but the tree is not self-fertile, so plant a second apple nearby for pollination. Ottolander bred it as a sport of 'Rechette de Montfort'.

Pairs well with Weigela, Hyssop, and Black Parrot tulip.
