Notes
'Ben Cofeld' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Ben Cofeld') is a perennial for borders, cut flower gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Its pink double blooms look almost ball shaped, with large, closely packed petals set in edgewise and shorter outer petals. Heavy stems hold up the flowers. Ernest Flint Kelsey bred it.
Pairs well with Compass plant, Blue grama, Grape hyacinth, and Rose.
