Notes

'Benvenue' peony (Paeonia 'Benvenue') is a shrub for borders, cottage gardens, specimen planting, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. Light yellow flowers with red flares open in early to late spring and attract butterflies. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. Derek Irvine bred it.

Pairs well with Maltese cross, Ox-eye daisy, and Lily.
