Notes

'Bernadine' clematis (Clematis 'Bernadine') is a vine for borders, containers, and ground cover. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. The pale blue and white flowers have hints of green in the central bands, and the plant stays small at 3 to 4 feet, so it suits pots and patios. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice.

Pairs well with Bowl of Cream peony, Japanese spirea, and Grape hyacinth.
