Notes

Betony (Stachys spathulata) is a perennial for borders, rock gardens, containers, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average moisture. It forms a dense, low mound of green leaves that stays 6 to 9 inches tall. Pink to purple flowers appear from early to late summer and attract butterflies and bees. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first.

Pairs well with Blue fescue, Gaura, and Ornamental onion.
