Notes

'Biebrich' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Biebrich') is a perennial for borders, perennial beds, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Large, double, light pink blooms open in mid to late spring and carry a pleasant rose fragrance. The stems are strong and tall, though they may bend. Max Josef Goos bred it.

Pairs well with Prairie dropseed, Christmas fern, Picture tulip, and Brown-eyed Susan.
