Notes
'Big Ben' panicle hydrangea (Hydrangea paniculata 'Big Ben') is a shrub for borders, hedges, specimen planting, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Its arching stems grow at a rapid rate and tolerate salt. Bees visit the summer blooms. Deer tend to browse other plants first.
Pairs well with American cranberrybush, Western sword fern, and Solomon's seal.
