Notes

'Big Eagle' common hyacinth (Hyacinthus orientalis 'Big Eagle') is a bulb for borders, containers, and rock gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Light red-pink flowers open in early to late spring and smell sweet, and bees visit the blooms. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. W. Blom bred it.

Pairs well with Carnaval De Nice tulip, Blue fescue, and Golden Tiara hosta.
