Notes

Bishop's hat (Epimedium perralderianum) is a perennial for ground cover. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes part to full shade and dry to average soil. It grows 6 to 12 inches tall and spreads 9 to 18 inches, so it forms a low, neat mat over time. Yellow flowers appear in mid spring. Give it room to spread under trees and along shady paths.

Pairs well with Rainbow's End hosta, Lady in Red lady fern, and Evergold sedge.
