Notes

'Black Isle Blush' chives (Allium schoenoprasum 'Black Isle Blush') is a herb for borders, containers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. The light mauve flowers develop a rose center that deepens slowly. Deer rarely make it their first choice. D.W. Ross bred it.

Pairs well with Blue fescue, Cheyenne Spirit echinacea, and Pink Impression tulip.
