Notes

'Polyvert' chive (Allium schoenoprasum 'Polyvert') is an herb for borders, containers, and food gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist soil of most types. It forms a clump of medium-size, uniform leaves that stay green through the year. Bees and butterflies visit the green blooms in spring and summer. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first.

Pairs well with PowWow Wild Berry coneflower, Marmalade coral bells, and Thai basil.
