Notes

'Forescate' chives (Allium schoenoprasum 'Forescate') is an herb for borders, containers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist soil of most types. It forms a clump up to 24 inches tall and wide. Bees and butterflies visit the fragrant blooms in spring and summer. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal.

Pairs well with Lady's mantle, Ornamental onion, and Candy carrot.
