Notes

'Black Swan' peony (Paeonia 'Black Swan') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. The full double blooms are deep maroon black and fragrant, and strong stems hold them up. Arthur L. Murawska bred it.

Pairs well with Royal Standard hosta, Blonde Ambition blue grama, and Carlton daffodil.
