Notes
'Blanche de Hiss' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Blanche de Hiss') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Its woody stems stay above ground through winter, so you only need to trim out dead wood in spring.
Pairs well with Fire Island hosta, Bellwort, Standing Ovation little bluestem, and Pink Impression tulip.
