Notes
'W.E. Blanchette' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'W.E. Blanchette') is a perennial for borders, perennial beds, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The double flowers are immense and bright red, with stamens showing through the blooms. The stems are excellent, which makes it a good pick for cutting.
Pairs well with Great blue lobelia, Blonde Ambition blue grama, Carlton daffodil, and Lanceleaf coreopsis.
