Notes

'Blue Blazer' common hyacinth (Hyacinthus orientalis 'Blue Blazer') is a bulb for borders, containers, and rock gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. C. Geerlings bred it, and it bears fragrant blue-violet flowers in early to late spring. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. Bees visit the blooms.

Pairs well with Carnaval De Nice tulip, Golden Tiara hosta, and Blue fescue.
