Notes

'Blue Chip' creeping juniper (Juniperus horizontalis 'Blue Chip') is a shrub for rock gardens, borders, and ground cover. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to average soil of most types. It stays low and spreads wide, so give it room. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. The evergreen foliage looks good all year, and the plant tolerates drought and salt.

Pairs well with Maiden pink, Blue grama, Ice Follies daffodil, and Jack pine.
