Notes

Blue Rug juniper (Juniperus horizontalis 'Wiltonii') is a groundcover for rock gardens, borders, and low maintenance spots. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to average soil of most types. Deer rarely make it their first choice. It stays 3 to 6 inches tall and spreads 72 to 96 inches, so give it plenty of room. The evergreen foliage stays on the plant all year, and it tolerates drought and salt.

Pairs well with Blonde Ambition blue grama, Mugo pine, and Prairie dropseed.
