Notes

'Mother Lode' creeping juniper (Juniperus horizontalis 'Mother Lode') is a groundcover shrub for rock gardens and ground cover. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to average, sandy soil. It stays evergreen, grows at a moderate pace, and spreads wide, so give it room. Drought and salt do not bother it. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal.

Pairs well with Maiden pink, Blonde Ambition blue grama, and Mugo pine.
