Notes

Blue-eyed grass (Sisyrinchium bellum) is a perennial for borders, containers, and ground cover. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes full sun to part shade, average moisture, and sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. Starry blue flowers last only one day, but the plant makes them in great quantities. It spreads by creeping rhizomes and may self-sow, so give it room.

Pairs well with Old man's whiskers, Thrift, and California poppy.
