Notes

'Blue Horizon' butterfly bush (Buddleja davidii 'Blue Horizon') is a shrub for borders, cottage gardens, pollinator gardens, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Its arching stems grow at a rapid rate, and the fragrant blooms draw butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds. Deer rarely make it their first choice. It also tolerates drought and salt.

Pairs well with Feather reed grass, Black Baccara rose, Ornamental onion, and Gaura.
