Notes

'Border Patrol' peony (Paeonia 'Border Patrol') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. Double golden-yellow blooms with rose-pink edges open in early to late spring, with 3 buds on each stem. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. The flowers attract butterflies.

Pairs well with Praying Hands hosta, Mock orange, Carnaval De Nice tulip, and Christmas fern.
