Notes

'Boreal Blizzard' honeyberry (Lonicera caerulea 'Boreal Blizzard') is a shrub for the food garden, grown for fresh eating, pies, jams, and jellies. It is hardy to USDA zone 2, or down to -50°F (-46°C). This plant likes full or part sun. Its berries are some of the largest of all honeyberries, and fragrant yellow spring flowers draw bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal. Plant a different clone nearby so the shrubs can pollinate each other.

Pairs well with Danica American arborvitae, Eliza rose, and Red fescue.
