Notes
'Bountiful' apple (Malus domestica 'Bountiful') is a tree for the food garden. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Light pink flowers open in early to late spring and attract bees. The fruit is grown for culinary use, but the tree is not self-fertile, so plant a second apple tree nearby for pollination. East Malling Research bred it in 1963.
Pairs well with Juneberry, Wild geranium, and Cinnamon fern.
