Notes

'Brabant' American arborvitae (Thuja occidentalis 'Brabant') is a tree for hedges, privacy screens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist soil of most types. It sits low on the menu for deer. It grows slowly into a dense, evergreen, fragrant tree that can reach about 12 to 15 feet tall. Birds visit it.

Pairs well with Eastern white pine, Winterberry, and Prairie dropseed.
