Notes

'Brevipetala' Japanese witch hazel (Hamamelis 'Brevipetala') is a shrub for borders, winter interest, privacy screens, and woodland gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet soil of most types. The yellow flowers are fragrant. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal. The leaves also change color in fall.
