Notes

'Briggadoon' St. John's wort (Hypericum calycinum 'Briggadoon') is a shrub for borders, rock gardens, and ground cover. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It grows fast and stays low, at 6 to 12 inches tall. The evergreen leaves cover the ground all year, and the flowers open from early to late summer. Butterflies visit the blooms, and the plant also tolerates drought.

Pairs well with Sundrops, Prairie dropseed, and Bush honeysuckle.
