Notes

St. andrew's-cross (Hypericum olympicum) is a low plant for borders and rock gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It stays dense and compact, and the evergreen leaves are gray-silver and green. Yellow flowers open from early to late summer. Growth is slow, so give it a spot where it can fill in over time.

Pairs well with Blue fescue, Heather, and Greig's tulip.
