Notes

'Bright ’n’ Gleaming' peony (Paeonia 'Bright ’n’ Gleaming') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. The mid yellow blooms have dark red centers and open in early to late spring. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. Derek Irvine bred it.

Pairs well with Fragrant Bouquet hosta, Lungwort, Jackmanii clematis, and Greig's tulip.
