Notes
'Brilliant Blue' lily-of-the-nile (Agapanthus 'Brilliant Blue') is a perennial for borders and containers, and it needs little care. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. It blooms from early to late summer and draws butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. It also tolerates salt, and it stays 12 to 24 inches tall.
Pairs well with Butterfly milkweed, Lucifer montbretia, Russian sage, and Alcazar red-hot poker.
