Notes
'Brilliant' ice plant (Hylotelephium spectabile 'Brilliant') is a perennial for borders, pollinator gardens, rock gardens, and low maintenance beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Carmine flowers draw butterflies, bees, and birds. Rabbits tend to nibble other plants first. It forms a clumping mound up to 18 inches tall and tolerates drought and salt.
Pairs well with Prairie dropseed, Cytherea peony, and Blonde Ambition blue grama.
