Notes

'Brocaded Gown' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Brocaded Gown') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The ruffled, medium pink flowers are semi-double and fragrant. They open in early to mid spring on strong stems, with one bud per stem. Toichi Domoto bred it, and it grows about 35 inches tall.

Pairs well with Wild ginger, Toad lily, Blue Arrow Rocky mountain juniper, and Black Parrot tulip.
