Notes
'Brunswick' aster (Symphyotrichum 'Brunswick') is a perennial for cut flowers, pollinator gardens, meadows, and rain gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, clay soil. Deer tend to pass it by. Purple flowers open in early to late autumn and draw butterflies, bees, and birds. It grows 36 to 84 inches tall, so give it room.
Pairs well with Big bluestem, False indigo, and Buttonbush.
