Notes

'Rosa Sieger' aster (Symphyotrichum 'Rosa Sieger') is a perennial for pollinator gardens, meadows, rain gardens, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, clay soil. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. Purple blooms open in early to late summer and again in early to late autumn, and they draw butterflies, bees, and birds.

Pairs well with Big bluestem, False indigo, and Indian Summer rudbeckia.
